why does seo work???

Tuesday, January 22nd, 2008

So why do people optimize their websites? In many ways, the answer to this question is the same as to why people make websites in the first place… To have their work found and read by as many people as possible. For example, one site that was built by the company that i work for that has great ranks is sunsettilebathonline.com.

When it comes to the internet, search engines are by far the most effective tool for finding information, and getting information found. That’s why virtually 100% of people who use the internet also use search engines in some way. It’s also why all webmasters who hope to recieve high amounts of traffic should optimize their sites.

For a search engine to recognize the value and relevance of a page, it must receive help from the creator of that page. Properly optimizing your pages to make them “search engine friendly” can greatly increase your search engine rankings, traffic levels, and potential earnings from your website… And that’s the importance of SEO.

Blogging for Sickness

Monday, January 21st, 2008

I have been a little unproductive the past few days due to being horribly sick…. I worked on an Canadian MLM today, and it really frustrated me to the fact that most of the keywords were very repetitive…I also had that problem with my other client this morning…when dealing with a lot of keywords that repeat and are just different in the placing of the words it is a nightmare….

The two clients are today were

Splash pages

Monday, January 21st, 2008

I have already once wrote about splashes, about there uses and why they are needed. However now I’m going to talk about how to build them. For me I like to write it straight from code starting from scratch every time but this is a bad idea because the tends to waste precious company time. To fix this little problem I created a splash one day, which is just a simple one page web site, and I compared it to my other sites and I took the basic code that was used and made that into a template like at http://250systemsite.com.

Designing with a fresh mind

Monday, January 21st, 2008

Having a good and relaxing weekend always help when you have to go back to work on Monday. Monday’s are always a drag to get by when you have had a busy weekend. I always try to keep my Sunday’s free and relaxing and spend a lot of time with my family at home as much as I can. This gives me a free of mind, so that when it comes to being creative with my web designs, I have a fresh mind. Designing, believe it or not, sometimes takes a fresh mind. It doesn’t help when you are trying to design a website with an exhausted mind. If you try this, I believe you would have better ideas in how you want to design your website.

No New to not Know

Monday, January 21st, 2008

SEO is a not a new concept to me, but I am new to partaking in this wonderfully useful, um…and slightly necessary, internet activity. Grateful for the opportunity to delve into the depths of SEO operations I can assure you that this knowledge will be put to use by me and plenty of others for much time to come. The folks at usaseopros.com are quite obviously geniuses, and I don’t say this just because I hang around there!

Banging Your Head Does Not Help

Monday, January 21st, 2008

When you are trying to figure out what it is you want to write about, Banging your head after trying to figure it our for a half hour, does not help. There are so many things to write about in SEO, problem being it is Monday and i haven’t thought of SEO all weekend. I am going to work on a couple new clients today, and I really cant wait. Bogging is going to help these clients get better rankings becuase in this blog right here I am going to put links to both of the ones I was handed this morning. Check them out at your leisure, or dont. Either way these clients are going to do well. First one is

http://groesbeckinsurance.net/

And the second one would be  http://natalielittlefield.net/

Check them out if you like. The first on is an insurance site and the second one is a catering site. Good Stuff.

All That Glitters Isn’t Gold…

Monday, January 21st, 2008

…But keywords that have had the bold property placed on it do help in at least the designation sense. Still up somewhat for experimentation to see if bolded keywords actually do make better for rankings, I had applied bolding and new content to a site dealing with custom jewelry. If in the very least, you can clearly see just how deep your keyword penetration is after you bold the keyterms.

IFrames and SEO

Friday, January 18th, 2008

I was working on a site that was dealing in iframes. I really don’t know a lot about iframes or frames so I decided to do a little research on iframes and SEO. The truth is that SEO experts are still unsure about how iframes or frames can help with the SEO process. For a long time they didn’t use it because they thought that it just caused a big mess when the search engine spiders would read the site. Now some people are saying that you can use an iframe to bring in keyword rich text or links to add to the sites original text and the spiders will read it fine. So really, there is no definite answer. This is something that is still being tested by most SEO experts.

Java Java Java

Friday, January 18th, 2008

Coffee in the work place is very important. It keeps moral up and a sense of urgency when you are all java’d out. In between the consistent shaking of your fingers, because thats the only outlet of energy you have, a lot of work can be done. Blogging first thing in the morning calls for a strong first cup of coffee, and a little FM to get you going. Throughout the day you can drink a lot of Java which will keep you focused and in tune.

More On Bullets

Thursday, January 17th, 2008

Well, I’ve recently done a teeny fix on a site dealing with used came consoles online and it seemed to be just fine aside from the fact that they were asking that I put more bullets onto it. But yeah, those bullets help you to pinpoint the keywords that you are trying to get ranked. So don’t forget to put those bullets into the content and you’ll be fine.
