Content Writing

Tuesday, August 5th, 2008

There are times when I wonder how a person can sit and write all day. Now, I love to write; writing introduced me to art, which got me into design in the first place (and led to my general computer geekry). However, right now I am writing content for a online affiliate opportunity website and am finding it very difficult. As creative as I try to be, it is very difficult to not be redundant with 47 keywords and approximately 18 pages of content to write up (darn you, content calculator!)

Either way, it’s coming along. I am approximately halfway done. Nonetheless… This is one part of SEO that I admittedly find the least enjoyable. The rest of it is fine with me, but it can be difficult at times to make words appear about how people can make great money all from the comfort of their living room sofa.

Ah, well. What must be done must be done; the paragraphs are slowly flying by as I chip away at this rather large amount of keywords.

I hate pink

Tuesday, August 5th, 2008

And right now I’m hating the large stack of pink folders.

GoDaddy’s whois is showing 3 of them being on Dreamhost. The issue with that is that so many people could be on Dreamhost that there could be the possibility the domain name is taken, and hosted on Dreamhost. Le sigh. Another one doesn’t show any registry information at all under Whois, yet is taken. Joy.

I think so far I have gotten one licensed home based business site done - the first one I worked on. Waiting for another to propagate from Dreamhost. Either way, the stack of null domains is slowly growing.

An Excellent Article on Content Writing

Tuesday, August 5th, 2008

One of our own guys, the big DC, found a very good article on SEO writing. I was already using a lot of these techniques without even realizing it, and I’ve been producing some excellent rankings and results from doing the very same things this article suggests.

Check it out. You might learn something new, or just reacquire lost knowledge.

SEO Specialists

Monday, August 4th, 2008

I have been spending a great deal of time comparing our services to other SEO Specialists and seeing what we offer over and above what they do, or vice versa. And it is not always easy to compare as many companies will not tell you what they do. Hence the purpose of this website, to lift that veil and give useful information and stories on SEO. But others tend to hold information ‘close to the chest’.

In the past, we have garnered a great deal of negative press on the internet, from people who didn’t understand what they were purchasing, or others who didn’t understand that SEO does not mean you WILL GET MORE SALES. What we do is to put browsers and buyers to our clients’ websites. But that does not guarantee that they will buy.

What SEO does do, is to put buyers on your site, once there its up to the site owner to sell them, much like any form of advertising. Merchandising, positioning, calls to action. These are what sell, not merely being page one. We work with clients to make recommendations for their site to increase sales. However, it is not always acted upon.

Specialists can tell customers nearly anything and not back it up with any work after the sale. Happily I work for a company that continues to increase the work load to each SEO Specialist we have, making sure that clients get more service. Not many companies work harder over time to achieve more results. Usually, its a ‘thank you for your money’ and a quick goodbye. We are not like that. We have a staff of 23 working on our clients’ SEO. From full time content writers, and for those keeping score at home, content is the NUMBER ONE REQUIREMENT for proper SEO, to a client relations department that spends hours researching and preparing key terms for clients to approve, ones the client will benefit the most from, to a team of SEO Specialists who make sure the content and the site sell the surfer. Although, as I said, we don’t guarantee sales, we do whatever we can to make sure our clients have the BEST CHANCE TO SELL.

Other SEO Specialists work on ranks, and we do too, however, we go the ‘extra mile’ to make sure our campaigns are more than just rankings, their sales and their image.

When looking to work with an SEO company, a search for ‘SEO Specialists’ and choose one according to your beliefs. Sometimes you can’t merely trust the experiences of others, especially considering the ’smoke and mirrors’ that are associated with SEO
