SEO to Go

Right. So, I’m rewriting content for a racing suspension company, and noticed that a lot of the content was either not keyword enriched or was written in a way that made it nearly unreadable. Clean-up jobs on this need two things: Special attention to grammar and lots of research.

First off, you don’t have to cram the same keyword or key term into one sentence a half-dozen times. Seriously, I think the reader gets the idea that your dehydrated water company is based in Montana without you shoving it down their throats four or five times. That, and search engines will likely frown on it and ban your SEO site instead.

Second, make sure you know what the heck you’re talking about before you write it. Writing content for something you know little to nothing about is like performing brain surgery with no knowledge of how to handle a scalpel. You’ll end up hitting a nerve. No pun intended.

Actually, pun definitely intended.

If you can properly research your idea and then write it in a way that makes perfect sense to your reader, you’ll make your SEO content not only strong but attractive.

Which brings me back to the content I was writing.  I knew a little about motocross, but not enough about actual suspension and shock absorbers (namely, the mechanism’s inner workings).  So, a good portion of research went on before I wrote my content for it.  And with that knowledge showing through in my SEO content, I think it reads a lot better.
